非常階段東京―TOKYO TWILIGHT ZONE
東京を写した写真集でお気に入りを一冊挙げるとしたら、最初に思いつくのがこの写真集だ。
非常階段から眺めた東京だけという、思いつきそうで思いつかない、わかりやすいコンセプトがいいのと、フィルムならではの静かな描写が心地よい。
首都高中央環状線の東側、荒川沿いを走っているときに見る都心側の風景が好きで、いつも高速の真ん中で車を停めて写真を撮りたい衝動に駆られることがある。この写真家の住んでいるエリアだからなのかもしれないが、その東京東部の風景が多いのも、この写真集を気に入っている理由のひとつだ。
これがあれば、高速で車を停めるという妄想を抑えることができる（笑）。
佐藤信太郎氏の写真は、氏のウェブサイトで見ることもできる（4年前に発表されたスカイツリーの記録写真集に収録された作品も見られる）。

If I was asked to pick up my favorite photo books on Tokyo, I would suggest, TOKYO TWILIGHT ZONE by Shintaro Sato, without hesitation.
All the scenes depicted in the photos were captured from the emergency staircases. I just love its concept. It's so simple yet no other people had thought about it before. I also like the texture of the photos taken with film.
I love the view of the city center when driving along the Central Circular Route of Shuto Expressways in Tokyo. I always feel like I would pull over and capture the view from there. Maybe this photographer lives in the area, a lot of photos in this book contains the views in the same area. That's another reason I like this book.
With this, I don't have to pull over in the middle of the busy expressway lane myself.
